Authors & Readers Event

An authors and readers event where readers meet and mingle with their favorite (and new) authors. Want to spend an afternoon in scenic Bayou Country at a multi-genre author / reader event? Mingle with readers and make some new contacts. Secure your spot in this first event. Help us grow – spread the word to other authors and readers that you will attend.
Where: Central School, 809 Kirby St., Lake Charles, LA
When: October 14, 2017 3pm – 6pm (set up at 2:30 pm)
Reader Tickets: Only $5.00 admission at the door for readers. Readers Facebook group to see which authors will appear.
Pelican Tales Authors can expect the following:
Table Arrangements: a rectangle table (not sure of size – if 8 foot table you will be sharing half with another author of the same genre) will be provided with a folding chair/s. Tables are assigned to authors with an author place card.
Table Cloths: a table cloth will be provided.
Advertising: BWG will be advertising the conference, but we cannot make this a success without You! Authors please post on your website and social media pages that you’ll attend this event. Many readers love to travel and meet their favorite authors, so spread the word. You might be rewarded with a lifelong customer when a reader says they are glad you came.
Banners: only table banners allowed. Sorry no room for standing banners this year.
Books: authors are encouraged to bring paperbacks to sell at this event.
Book Pricing: pricing is up to the author, but you may want to have specials to entice new readers.
Swag: authors are responsible for their own swag (bookmarks, key chains, pens, etc) and giveaways.
Change: be sure to get enough change prior to the event.
Setup Time: setup begins at 2:30 p.m. and completed by 3 p.m. when doors open.
P. A.’s – one (1) P. A. per author is allowed free of charge.
$40.00 authors (all genres welcome)
$25.00 Members of BWG not attending conference
$15.00 Members of BWG conference attendee
*A $1.00 fee is added.
After paying for table space, authors please email your email address, website, Pen Name, and Genre to firstname.lastname@example.org This also allows us to add you to the Facebook groups and advertising materials. Fill out this Google form
Once you have paid and filled out the form you will be added to the Author Facebook group.

Authors purchase your table space below. Purchases are non-refundable, but they are transferable with written notification to Debbie at firstname.lastname@example.org
