Don’t forget tomorrow, Saturday, November 10, 2012, 8 to 4! The conference is on the speakers are ready to go–with one exception. Jessica Roach Ferguson will be speaking instead of Deborah LeBlanc, who had to cancel last week.

Ms. Ferguson is a published author whose work has appeared in magazines and newspapers in Louisiana and Texas. She is co-owner/co-editor of Swamp Lily Review, A Journal of Louisiana Literature & Arts, and a staff writer for Southern Writers Magazine. She taught with Lamar University’s Continuing Education Department, coordinating writing classes and teaching her own class, Nonfiction Boot Camp.

Jessica really enjoys encouraging other writers and judging writing contests for ACFW, RWA, as well as their chapters. She the founder of the East Texas Writers Association in her hometown of Longview, Texas, and a past president of Bayou Writers’ Group. She started the BWG members-only contest and created our annual Gator Bites publication, showcasing members’ work.

In Jessica’s own words:  “Helping others find their passion, get published, complete a novel, sell a short story or just solve a writing problem — well, I guess for me, that’s the thrill of being in this business.”
