Authors must be a current paid member of Bayou Writers Group.
Deadline is July 1, 2017
- Prose: Fiction or Non-Fiction: limit 3,000 words.
- Poetry: Standard: limit 25 lines / Prose Poetry: Limit 250 words
- Art: paintings, drawings, cartoons, photographs—color or b/w can be submitted but will be printed in black and white.
All work must be the author’s original, unpublished work
Submit your best work. Anthology Team will edit for grammar, not for content.
Submit a short bio—less than 100 words–not including contact information: website, Facebook, etc, in third person, with photo.
Submit prose/poems in 12 pt font, Times New Roman, Single Space.
Artwork/author photo—at least 300 dpi, 6”x 8” .jpeg
May submit up to three pieces (can be in separate or same category) –no specific theme
Work published elsewhere will not be accepted. BWG retains first publishing rights. All other rights remain with the author—in six months all rights return to the author.
Submissions received after July 1, 2107 will not be considered.
* Anthology Committee reserves the right to not approve submissions. Before publication, changes made will be sent to authors for approval. If an author does not respond, work will be published as per anthology committee. If issues can be resolved, work will be published, otherwise it will not be considered for the anthology.
