Bayou Writers Group Announces Winners of the Young Writers Contest / Lake Charles, LA., (October 11, 2015) – Every year the Bayou Writers Group sponsors the Young Writers Contest as an effort to encourage creative writing among area middle school and high school students. This year over 50 students from 10 area schools participated in the contest. First place winners received a cash prize, a $100 donation to their school’s library and free admission to the Bridge to Publication Writing Conference hosted by the Bayou Writers Group on November 14, 2015.
